First counter culture - Underground comics, rock music, and new wave science fiction was much more exciting, but was nonetheless regarded as low culture, while the artsy experiments, repeating the Modernist Art movement was considered as high culture

Second counter culture was the yuppies. Commercialism was theri approach to culture, to be seen as event-based sellable products. Hippise tried to disarm, yuppies tried to overthrow communists
