Seeking Wisdom
It's pretty cool. I found the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy that described wisdom for me via logic, which I like [source]
S is wise iff
- S has extensive factual and theoretical knowledge.
- S knows how to live well.
- S is successful at living well.
- S has very few unjustified beliefs.
Correlating this with MBTI it's quite interesting. For the first one, being factual and theoretical knowledge is at odds with theSensor and Intuitive types. However one developes their inferior function at age 35 and onwards.
As for 2 and 3, it's rather subjective according to one's ethics.
The 4th one is straight forward as it required one to examine one's self. I remember reading a parallel in some Indian philosophy or religion... I forget.
